Tenafly Nature Center is hosting Canoe Day on Sunday, August 30, giving visitors the chance to explore Pfister’s Pond from the water. Time slots run from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with each 25 minute reservation accommodating up to four people, including two adults and two children. Paddles and life jackets are provided, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

The paddle offers a quiet, close up view of the pond’s wildlife, with turtles, frogs, dragonflies, and fish among the creatures visitors might spot along the way. It’s a fitting way to send off the summer season at the nature center, located at 313 Hudson Ave. in Tenafly.
Registration is available now at TenaflyNC.org/seasonal-programs.
