The Leonia Health Department recognized eight retail food establishment owners for maintaining Satisfactory Health Inspection Ratings for three consecutive years, 2023-2025. The businesses demonstrated continued compliance by ensuring there were no Foodborne Illness Risk Factors during their unannounced inspections.
The businesses receiving recognition in Leonia are Dunkin Donuts, Wolf It, Nakahara, H Mart, Happy Market, Cafe 4210, Snack Stop, Domino’s Pizza.
Since the establishment maintained their dedication to food safety, they were recognized for their achievement at the June 15th Mayor and Council Meeting. Mayor Zeigler presented each business with their Excellence in Food Safety Award. Students from the Leonia High School Hospitality and Culinary Academy also provided a welcome reception serving hors d’oeuvres and desserts curated from their own kitchen.
