Butterfly House Feeding Programs Continue at Tenafly Nature Center Through August 29

Tenafly Nature Center’s Butterfly House is open for the season, giving visitors a chance to see native butterflies and moths up close as they feed on colorful blooms and emerge from their chrysalises. The center is also running its Butterfly Feeding Programs on select weekends through August 29, where children ages 4 and up and their families can hand feed live butterflies in a small group setting and make a pollinator friendly seed ball to take home.

Visitors can also explore the center’s Native Pollinator Garden, which supports butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators throughout the season. Organizers note that spaces are limited and programs fill quickly.
